  The Davie County Sheriff's Department is now offering a new service to help keep residents informed of any criminal activity in the county.

The website is www.mapnimbus.com and it provides an up close and detailed map that shows crimes in your neighborhood and areas nearby.

According to Capt. .D. Harman the site went live last week and is the opportunity for residents to research in their neighborhoods via the web.

Once a resident reaches the website they can select the Sheriff's Department from the agency icon. 

They are then directed to a map of the county and can view crime and sex offender locations, along with dates of incidents.

The site is updated daily so anyone viewing will get the most up to date activities occurring in the county.
