Sheriff A. Stokes reports that a nine month long undercover drug operation involving the distribution of crack cocaine and marijuana in Davie County culminated in the arrest of eleven suspects throughout Mocksville and Cooleemee.

Beginning in March 2010 Narcotics Detectives began purchasing crack cocaine from numerous suspects in Davie County. On 12/21/2010 the Davie County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Mocksville Police Department and Cooleemee Police Department, began serving arrest and search warrants for these suspects and their residence. The search warrants led to the seizure of approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana and firearms.

Felton Mayfield Jr. was arrested and charged with Conspire to Traffic in Cocaine, 3 counts of Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Cocaine and 3 counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance. Felton Mayfield was held under a $200,000.00 secure bond and must appear in court 01/06/2011.

Shawn Grant was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Conspire to Traffic in Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance. Shawn Grant was held under a $100,000.00 secure bond and must appear in court on 01/06/2011.

Mitchell Mayfield was arrested and charged with 4 counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, 4 counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for Sale of a Controlled Substance. Mitchell Mayfield was held under a $120,000.00 secure bond and must appear in court on 01/06/2011.

Kenneth Gray was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, 2 counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale of a Controlled Substance. Kenneth Gray was held under $80,000.00 secure bond and must appear in court on 01/06/2011.

Herbert Pulliam was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance. Herbert Pulliam was held under no bond and must appear in court on 01/06/2011.

Romero Scott was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and 3 counts of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance. Alvin Holland was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Spirituous Liquor on Unauthorized Property.
