While on patrol in the Hillsdale/Advance area Deputy Telinger noticed a silver Dodge Intrepid with an expired registration tag. Deputy Telinger ran the registration information through his mobile data terminal to confirm his findings. At that time Deputy Telinger was following the vehicle east bound on Interstate 40. The traffic stop was initiated at mile marker 181. Deputy Telinger spoke with the driver, Christopher Winfrey Tollison, and requested his drivers license and car registration. Tollison was able to provide the car registration but advised Deputy Telinger he only had an identification card. Deputy Telinger requested the communications center check Tollison's information. Communications was able to advise Deputy Telinger that Tollison had eight failure to appears pending to be served. Tollison was placed under arrest and transported to Davie County Detention Center. Tollison was placed under a $2,000.00 secure bond.
