On August 14, 2010, Deputy J Goodin responded to 513 Madison Rd, Coastal Transport, to a breaking and entering that had already occurred. Upon arrival, he spoke with David Sain, the terminal manager for Coastal Transport. Sain stated that sometime between 7:00pm 08/13/10 and 8:30am 08/14/10, unknown person(s) forced a window open and gained entry to the office. Sain stated that there were 2 drawers left open on a desk the he would normally close. There were signs of a pry tool used on the outside of the window and the lock broken. Sain reported that 175-200 used brake shoe cores, valued at $9.00 each, had been taken. The shoes had been stored outside behind the shop area on pallets. The case will be further investigated by a detective with the Davie County Sheriff's Office.
